Advocacy
We are committed to advocating for our partners and their communities in developing regions around the world.
We encourage our supporters in Australia to get involved at the grassroots, state and national levels as we speak up for justice and freedom from persecution, poverty and the pornification of Western culture.
Our newest campaign is associated with Collective Shout - a movement which aims to create safe spaces in which girls and women can thrive in Australian culture. Why not join the movement and make a difference in our own society?
As part of our engagement, we are also working hard to raise awareness around the issues of sexual violence against women and girls in DR Congo.
Our Advocacy LUMO page provides more information on this campaign.
The on-going campaign, which we endorse and promote as an agency, is Micah Challenge, with its focus on seeing the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals by 2015.
A signficant part of the campaign is the annual Voices for Justice event in Canberra - this year in June.
