Disaster Relief

Earthquakes, Tidal Waves, Floods, Famines, Wars

Natural disasters strike without warning. We are committed to responding with financial and human resources wherever possible.

Our national partners remain in place long after the expatriate relief and rescue teams have come and gone. There is certainly a place for both. Our focus, however, is on long term development and ministry. We leave the large scale logistical exercises to the BINGOs (Big International NGOs).

As climate change impacts our world, and disasters constitute a related expression of those changes, we are challenged to think theologically about how God would have us respond. Take some time to read the Tearfund UK file "Why Should Christians Care for the Environment?" and start thinking about what changes we need to make.
