Africa Short Term Teams
Africa is a continent brimming with challenges and extremes. Our partners in DR Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda have vital and growing ministries worthy of any support we can give.
You have the opportunity to support these ministries with our Short Term Teams. Teams have been working with our partners in DR Congo and Rwanda, getting involved with medical ministry, working with children and Muslim outreach. There is an enormous amount to see, learn and share in.
A Short Term Team went in October 2008 to DR Congo just before all westerners were told to leave because of the increased violence of the local warring tribes. Our dear partners, led by Dr Jo and Lyn Lusi, have endured faithfully - and even joyfully - right in the middle of the horrors and threats to safety that the whole world has been hearing about, serving their country men and women impartially as one emergency victim after another comes to them.
In 2009 it was safe to send another team to DR Congo (read our 2009 report). We are sending another team to HEAL Africa from 26 November to 11 December 2010. We also plan to send a short term team to work with Wakisa Ministries and Christian Fellowship Ministries in Uganda in 2010.
