Short Term Teams Philippines

Our last short term team to the Philippines was in 2008.  Currently we have not scheduled another team, but please contact us if you are interested in participating in a short term team to the Philippines.

Highlights of the last team

A short term team of 21 from Melbourne visited our national ministry partners Philippine Missionary Fellowship (PMF) from December 29, 2007 - January 13, 2008.  In 14 action-filled days, they worked with four different churches in four poor squatter areas of Manila and surrounding villages.

Medical and dental clinics saw over 1300 patients during the course of four days. During the visit, four concerts were held which saw many clear responses and many that had strong indications of genuine change. Four communities and hundreds of children were impacted, loved and pointed to Jesus. The team was awestruck with both the poverty and the generosity of the local people. Many of the team were deeply affected.  The team was led by Dr Andrew Chan, Dr Ben Sia and Phil Arnold.

Dr Alfredo de Guzman (leader of PMF at that time) set up and oversaw the itinerary. PMF aims to serve the poorest of the poor in the Philippines.  Read the 2008 Philippines STT report.
