Micah Challenge is a global campaign to mobilise Christians against poverty, in the spirit of Micah 6:8. We want to encourage the leaders of all the nations to fulfill their commitments to the Millenium Development Goals to halve absolute global poverty by 2015.

CNEC Partners International is an endorsing agency of Micah Challenge. We encourage our supporters to speak out on poverty issues.

The Millennium Development Goals, comprise 8 targets to be met by 2015.

1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger (reduce by 50% the number of people living on less than $2/day)

2. Achieve universal primary education

3. Promote gender equality and empower women (ensure girls have the same access to education as boys)

4. Reduce child mortality (by two thirds)

5. Improve maternal health (reduce mortality by three quarters)

6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases

7. Ensure environmental sustainability

8. Develop a global partnership for development
