Focusing on the 'why'

Our Philosophy of Ministry

We focus on our ‘Who’ and ‘Why’ as much as our ‘What’ and ‘How’.

We have inherited the invaluable gift of a commitment to strengthening national Christian partners. We value and respect those partners and work to consistently reaffirm the why of our relationships.

We share a vision with our friends who live day by day in their local communities. They are focused on grappling with the needs and root problems within those communities. They strive to reach, help, serve and strengthen their people - compassionately, ethically, creatively and in a servant like manner, with a long-term positive impact. Within CNEC/PI we endeavour to encourage, resource and enable our national partners to do this work effectively.

We share a common vision of change. Our goal is to see transformation in four key areas – leadership, economic, social and spiritual. This goal is as much for ourselves as for our national partners.

We believe that extraordinary partnerships do transform lives. Where projects and programs are carried out in such a way that the whole person’s needs are attended to, the root problems are addressed and the people, the systems and ways of the community are changed.
